- Gulg sits deep in the Crescent Forest, behind a wall that's alive: a hedge of interwoven thorn-trees grown so tight a halfling's fist won't fit through.
- Population: about 8,000. The smallest of the seven cities, and it likes it that way.
- House Inika deals small, fast, and expensive: gems, furs, feathers, kola, and spices.
- No open market. You trade with one assigned house factor, who barters for the whole city and is famous for driving a hard bargain. Bring your best offer.
In the region
- Gulg: the forest city behind a living wall of thorns.
- The Crescent Forest: the last great wood on Aerun, and two cities would like to own it.
- Ogo: the halfling chief's pyramid, under the forest canopy.
Getting there
140 miles east of Balic by the Ring Road, by way of Altaruk and Amber Valley: about a week with a walking caravan. Gulg is reached by a forest track off the main road, because the road doesn't go into the wood.
