House Tsalaxa: Draj and the North Coast
The breadbasket of Aerun.
Chapter on its way. This chapter downloads from the House Tsalaxa relay as soon as you enter the region. Until then, here's a preview from Balic.

- Draj sits on the north coast, on a broad brown mudflat at the foot of the cliffs, with exactly one road in.
- Population: about 18,000 in the city, plus a much larger workforce out in the fields, mostly slaves.
- House Tsalaxa runs the grain, the caravanserais, and (everyone assumes) quite a lot else.
- Shopping: Draj feeds a third of the continent. Grain and hemp by the wagonload, plus cotton, linen, and rope. Metal is scarce and pricey here, since Tyr is a long way off.
- The causeway. One low stone road crosses the mud from firm ground to the Golden Moon Gate. Stay on it: step off and you sink. It's the city's whole defense, and it's never needed an upgrade.
In the region
- Draj: the mudflat city. Grain, hemp, and festivals you won't forget.
Getting there
440 miles from Balic by the Ring Road, around the east side through Gulg, Nibenay, and Raam: about two tendays. Or take the Long Reach to Raam and do the last 130 miles along the north coast.
